Here’s a couple of replies I’ve received so far: I would say Banktivity is better if you want a retrospective view (reports on what you've spent, full view of all your finances) and YNAB is better if you want something that helps you focus forward, on planning and managing your money rather than documenting what you did with it. So do any Aussie users know of some good software for the Mac that works in Australia? Apparently the OS X version of Quicken does not have support for Australian customisations such as Australian banks, GST, BAS etc. I have a friend who has just changed from a PC to a Mac and she has asked for an alternative to Quicken.
